OBJECTIVES
- to inform teenagers, communities; change attitudes, practices for environmental protection; to acquire skills, attitudes through practical, interactive activities, using experiential learning; to achieve collective projects that generate change, through results of proposed learning( individual, school, community level)
- to get complex learning experiences, combining non-formal, informal education, respecting education principles for sustainable development (Student-centered, Critical Thinking, Systemic Thinking, Partnership , Participation, Connected to real lives of children and communities, Solution and Action-oriented)
- to reconnect people with nature; achieve direct emotional relationship with environment in which they live (according to studies, as they get older, children become less eager to spend time outdoors, preferring television, virtual media, with consequences for their health and ability to relate to environment)
- to integrate education for sustainable development in school curriculum, through a curriculum offer at school’s decision adaptable to local context, linking themes of environmental protection of economy, society, culture, education, heritage, health, social inclusion, according to principles expressed in European Union Strategy 2020- transition to society, economy without greenhouse gas emissions and efficient use of natural resources.
