Welcome to ” Rangers Of Change”.

Welcome to our Webpage of Erasmus+ Project called:
”Rangers Of Change”. During the project, participants from the partner schools will explore innovative ways of fighting against climate change. Our activities will increase students’ capacity in helping slow climate change by conserving energy, minimizing vehicle use, eating locally grown foods, recycling. We will reduce greenhouse gas pollution at home, at school; will save energy, reduce pollution, remove carbon dioxide. We will discuss barriers and find ways to overcome them. ROC activities will teach our students and community to remove carbon dioxide from atmosphere by planting trees, gardens, helping to protect forests, undeveloped land, open space. Our project aim is to build a future in which people live in
harmony with nature. We need new ideas, inventions that can reduce greenhouse gas pollution, remove carbon dioxide. Our students will discover new solutions and our schools and communities become “greener”. ROC will have Recycling and Waste Reduction as common values.

Activities of recycling, composting will teach students, local community to save energy by reusing items, reducing waste. ROC will create a strong knowledge base around the causes of climate change and global warming; ROC will also develop strong skills that will allow participants to apply their knowledge in real world, including
problem-solving, critical thinking, teamwork, coping with uncertainty, empathy and negotiation. ROC will teach our students to use these transferable skills in their future jobs and to become involved citizens. Teachers noticed, from previous activities, that students enjoy working on climate action projects, they like searching and finding new solutions on climate action and recycling.

About Rangers Of Change

This project aims to inform teenagers, communities; change attitudes, practices for environmental protection; to acquire skills, attitudes through practical, interactive activities, using experiential learning; to achieve collective projects that generate change, through results of proposed learning( individual, school, community level)
Teachers and students from partner schools will get complex learning experiences, combining non-formal, informal education, respecting education principles for sustainable development (Student-centered, Critical Thinking, Systemic Thinking, Partnership , Participation, Connected to real lives of children and communities, Solution and Action-oriented)

Participants will reconnect with nature, will achieve direct emotional relationship with environment in which they live(according to studies, as they get older, children become less eager to spend time outdoors, preferring television, virtual media, with consequences for their health and ability to relate to environment)
ROC will integrate education for sustainable development in school curriculum, through a curriculum offer at school’s decision, adaptable to local context, linking themes of environmental protection of economy, society, culture, education, heritage, health, social inclusion, according to principles expressed in European Union Strategy 2020- transition to society, economy without greenhouse gas emissions and efficient use of natural resources.

Our project promotes social cohesion, it enhances creativity and innovation, including entrepreneurship, as we will encourage our students to cooperate, adopting the flexibility of more innovative practices and using methods that involve open education.

All partner schools designed ROC project as a journey for our students, teachers and local communities to embark on. Our project is innovative because it stands for the climate action and recycling education, it explains climate action importance from the beginning and it shows our planned steps to follow. We planned our common activities to have a long-term cycle, made up of different stages; we planned to have different partners involved, for each stage (local community, Media, government, philanthropic and corporate companies) to support climate change and recycling education.
