Portugal, like other countries, faces a daunting challenge. After a year in which 97% of the territory reached a level of severe drought, the risk is close to home and is felt more and more in people’s daily lives and in the cities, which depend on this precious resource. At the same time, climate change also results in shorter periods of more intense precipitation, which increase the likelihood of floods and flash floods.
