September 2023- ROC Activities “A Green Shopping Guide” – ROMANIA
In Romania, students prioritized nutrient-rich foods like: colourful vegetables and lean proteins. they chose fresh vegetables and fruits to ensure a well-rounded diet. They persuaded their families to embrace green thinking by reducing food waste—buy in smaller quantities, plan meals, repurpose leftovers. They started to choose locally sourced, seasonal products to minimize carbon footprint. They considered reusable bags and containers to cut down on packaging waste. They engaged in composting to utilize kitchen scraps. By making mindful choices at the grocery store, students not only supported their well-being, but also contributed to a sustainable, eco-friendly approach to nutrition:
